@WormStrikesBack@creepypaper00 Oh. So you’re just… yelling at the wind? Could’ve just said you wanted to be mad at random-ass things that don’t impact you at all. Carry on!
@AudreyII97@Kyky_MTL@spn_aesthetic I’d say Misha and Mark (S) both did their part by 1: being great actors for the boys to play up against. 2: bringing a tension for the audience who’d seen most of what two brothers could do already. And 3: multiplying options for the writers.
@TeaserTess@spn_aesthetic You can find it on Youtube. Comicon 2011. Mark Sheppard gets at least one *really* good dig in as well, when we know the context that everyone on the podium knows Misha’s been fired, and none of the audience knows…
@DuendePika@ShinogisPuppy (To your examples; if the unwanted touching is a major part of the story, yes, I’d probably tag it noncon touching. Ear piercing? Again. Depends entirely on context…)
@DuendePika@ShinogisPuppy …well, of course fandom use of a word will reflect fandom terminology. Do you think ‘ship’ and ‘shipping’ means the same to a port operator as to a fan?
@_Midnightshade_ I took G’Kar from Babylon 5’s quote to heart 30 years ago: “We are all the sum of our tears. Too little and the ground is not fertile and nothing will grow there. Too much. The best of us is washed away. My rains have come and gone” This is also true of hyperfixations. <3
@DuendePika@ShinogisPuppy Noncon is usually related to something sexual, but can also cover things like body modifications. It can be nonconsensual touching, bondage, exhibitionism… it does not have to be unwanted penetration…
@CerebrodeLoredi My first fanfic I found because I was searching for a quote. Found myself in the middle of an engaging story - and suddenly these two characters who were never canonically involved kissed? And it made perfect sense?!? 2001, man. I’ve been around!
@WormStrikesBack@creepypaper00 Here’s a pro-tip for new users. When you search, and you get to your first results page, there are filter-options to the right. At the top are the things you want to filter *for*. At the bottom the things you want to filter *out*. Armed with that knowledge go and don’t see shit..
@ao3org You guys… I’ve crushed on you since y’all rescued us from the hellscapes of Livejournal’s purges, and my feelings have grown every time you’ve rescued old fic archives - AlphaGate, 852Prospect, Inkstained fingers. This? You are now my platonic faves. Thank you! <3
@roseycore_ Sam in particular is selling the “my brother is mad at his boyfriend (but they’re perfect for each-other) and I really have to try to patch over the cracks.”
@pig_in_a This is my point. They *worked* for that thing. I’m not mad we, the fans, didn’t get it. I’ absolutely livid the *characters* didn’t get the ending they worked *so hard* for!
