MY DEEPEST APPRECIATION TO MEMBERS OF THE ALL PROGRESSIVES CONGRESS (APC), THE GOOD PEOPLE OF PLATEAU STATE AND NIGERIANS.
It is with profound humility and immense gratitude that I express my heartfelt appreciation to Almighty God for allowing me to cross yet another milestone of mercy in my journey of leadership and service to Him and to the great and peace-loving people of Plateau State.
The overwhelming support and enthusiasm demonstrated by the distinguished members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) across the 17 Local Government Areas of Plateau State during the APC gubernatorial primary election held on Thursday, May 21, 2026 is quite humbling! The interest generated in the Plateau process beyond party structures by the citizens of Plateau State and other Nigerians at home and abroad is beyond comprehension!
I am deeply honored by this victory. It has renewed my belief in our common destiny as a people in search for peace, prosperity and the deserved place honour for Plateau State in Nigeria and beyond. This victory belongs to all of us - party faithful, supporters, stakeholders, youths, women, elders, and volunteers who worked tirelessly.
Thank you for believing that The Time is NOW for us to begin preparing to seek the renewal of the mandate of our beloved Plateau people for another term of four years. This trust has re-energised my resolve and determination to lead the way in the pursuit of our ordained destiny as a people set on the hills of glory and the flat and lowlands of fertility.
My profound gratitude goes to my leader, the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR for the hand of fellowship he has extended to me and the confidence he has reposed in me. My brother the National Chairman, Professor Nentewa Yilwatda Goshwe, thank you for standing by your public declaration that there is no vacancy in the Plateau State Government House.
My gratitude also goes to the National Working Committee, State, Local Government, and Ward leaders of our great party, the electoral committees at all levels, security agencies, and all individuals who contributed to the peaceful conduct of the party primaries.
To my brother Governors, National leaders, friends, supporters and well wishers both at home and abroad, I want to thank you immensely for your fervent prayers and encouragement that have brought months of anxiety to a re- assuring crescendo! However like in all human endeavors, there would have been challenges which I believe we would resolve as a family.
I equally acknowledge and commend my brother and fellow aspirant, Yilchini Jan Bida, for his sportsmanship, and invaluable contribution to the democratic process. As we move forward, let us remember that there is no victor and no vanquished. The conclusion of the primaries is not the end. We must begin the process of reconciliation in order to strengthen our party and work together for the overall interest and advancement of Plateau State and Nigeria at large.
To my brothers and sisters who contested other positions and were not pleased with the outcomes, I urge patience and restraint as we activate internal mechanisms to address the grievances. To those who were declared candidates, The Time to arise is Now!
I therefore call on all party faithful and the good people of Plateau State to remain united and steadfast as we prepare for the greater task ahead. Together, we shall build a Plateau State that is peaceful, secure, inclusive, prosperous, and filled with great opportunities for all, particularly the youths.
Thank you once again for this great honor and responsibility. I do not take it for granted and you will not be disappointed. I remain fully committed to serving the people with integrity, humility, fairness, and unwavering dedication.
Thank you, and may God bless Plateau State and the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
When I actively started using stablecoins, my mind went back to 2023.
I remember overhearing a man argue that using “digital dollars” devalues the Naira and shows a lack of pride in our currency. It’s an argument I’ve heard a lot.
But it actually made me wonder: Is it a lack of pride, or is it just a strategy for survival?
When you look at the number of people that have been k!ll3d overtime in villages, sleeping in their homes, defenseless, then what can you call it? I think it is pure gen0c!d3" - APC chieftain, Adamu Garba.
We still appreciate him and we really do with open hearts for saving over 200 and also over 200 Christians were kill in that village.ask yourself why was the mosques a safe heaven for Christians?why gun men after Christians and not both religious?Y headmans killing Christians??
The recent pronouncement by the US government declaring Nigeria a ‘Country of Particular Concern' (CPC) and indicating possible military action should give every well-meaning Nigerian serious concern.
There is no doubt that Nigeria is experiencing an unprecedented level of insecurity with attendant carnage and the most shocking loss of lives and property. According to Amnesty International, over 10,000 people have been killed in Nigeria since May 2023 and as I have repeatedly lamented, the unwarranted and unprovoked killing of Nigerians is most condemnable, and all efforts must be made to bring it to a stop. It is equally important to state that the terrible situation is significantly avoidable with competent leadership and governance.
While the insecurity did not start with the present government, what is most unfortunate is the lack and absence of competence, commitment, prudent use of resources, patriotism and passion on the part of APC APC-led government/leaders to effectively govern, galvanise and lead Nigeria where no one is unwarrantedly oppressed and killed, a Nation where peace, truth and justice reign!
As democracies, Nigeria and the US have long been strategic partners committed to regional peace and security. That relationship should not falter. The present situation calls for constructive diplomatic and any other plausible engagement by both nations aimed at addressing the prevailing and disturbing security concerns. Both countries must work in concert and expeditiously towards that purpose. -PO
Imagine a deranged & sociopathic meglomaniac & tyrant, a recalcitrant and unrepentant schoolyard and dockside bully and a cheap and shameless godless scumbag like @realDonaldTrump
threatening our country with violence, military action and invasion. What a nerve!
Permit me to put the matter in context. A friend of mine sent the following words to me last night after reading his threat of war & military action.
She wrote,
"How I wish we can simply ignore this petulant man spewing utter childish rubbish all over the place. They can categorise us as they like, that is on them and there is nothing we can do OR ought to do about that. He should bring it on. Let them send their troops and let us see. The same Islamic Terrorists that THEY FUNDED to destroy us. Serves us right, We had the CHANCE to stand and be counted on the right side of history, before God with the genocide that is been committed by Israel and funded & supported by America. For all its worth, South Africa STOOD & REPRESENTED. We were nowhere to be seen or heard. AND YET look at this!"
She concluded by saying the following,
"it is not his fault or the Americans' fault, it is SOLELY ours. I pray this is a wake-up call for us as leaders, as a nation & Africans. These people are NOT our friends, have never been & will never be; neither should we tolerate having them as our masters, or elders!"
I concur with this deeply courageous lady who has said it as it is. Frankly I couldn't have put it better myself.
My response to her was as follows.
"You are right. They are evil and, if he carries out his abominable threat, there will be a war. We shall not leave the country but we will fight it out with them. We behaved like cowards and allowed them to demonise us with no response. I do not know what is wrong with Nigerians but this will be the greatest challenge they have ever faced and maybe after it is all over they will appreciate the importance of having bold, articulate and courageous leaders & disavow themselves of their accursed cowardice, ignorance, pettiness, weakness, envy & complacency".
I meant every word.
Trump, a fascist & an associate of the globally recognized Hitler of the 21st century, @netanyahu, has refused to call the Israeli Zionist Nazis and the UAE-backed RSF butchers of Darfur, Sudan mass murderers and genocidal maniacs but he is calling our people the "killers of Christians" and is desperately trying to label our nation with the genocide tag and create a crisis in Nigeria.
I am not surprised. Permit me to tell you why.
In my essay titled "Christian Genocide and the Danger of Mischaracterisation" which was published one week ago I wrote, inter alia, the following.
"Our Government must refuse to allow themselves to be hoodwinked by the words of middle-ranking American Governnent officials who are not members of the MAGA inner circle & who do not truly represent the very hardline and extreeme views of the right-wing Christian fundamentalist & anti-Muslim forces that Trump holds dear. If they really want to know what Trump is thinking but has so far refused to voice about Nigeria it would be wise for our Government to consider the words of @SecRubio, @SenTedCruz, @RepRileyMoore & Congressman Chris Smith far more than the soothing and encouraging words and expressions of support from "friendly faces" in the Trump administration who have deep ties with & a soft spot for Nigeria but who are not at the heart of the #MAGA power configuration like Trump's Lebanese brother in-law and Special Advisor on African Affairs, Massad Boulus, @US_SenAdvisorAF. American doublespeak & subterfuge is an art and we must never take them for their word or drink from their poisoned chalice. As the Bible says "their speech is as smooth as butter but war is in their heart".
Sadly our Government did not pay heed to my words & instead took the comforting words of Boulus as the position of Trump. How wrong they were!
