@kryptosopus@I_Am_The_ICT Dude i feel like my mind is going to bust overtime i see my setup, when i hesitate and don't take the trade it goes in my prediction, when i feel confident it doesn't. How do i overcome this?
I was asked how to overcome anxiety and fear of losing trades...
For thing we must do is to remind ourselves that we alone are the one in control of entering trades. Risk is nonexistent, until we are in a position. We must have a sound model in which we employ with our trades... not impulsive hunches or copying someone else.
We must control greed and this is by limiting the number of trades we are permitting ourselves in any given metric, e.g. - per week, day or session.
We must know our self, what causes us to go off the rails, or gives us too much of an ego driven mania. This can only be discovered in a systematic desensitization process of deleveraged executions with a single model, away from the witness and influence of anyone else.
Learning to be content with enough. As humans, we tend to covet what others have or can do. Accept the fact that you are learning to read the market well, over time.
It does not happen for everyone quickly and it is absolutely normal for you to feel as if it is taking longer than you want.
Submit to it and the time you personally require. This is self-control, not denial of success.
There are no shortcuts, no matter how anyone else markets it or promises.
"Slow is smooth, smooth is fast."
I have learned in this life, the more people try to talk you out of doing it, the more they try to explain how it can't happen like you envisioned it... the more you need to dig your heels in and remove their influence over you.
Everyone else retired broke, or still works.
Remember this.
When I spend time away from markets, I lose a sense of connection or rhythm with it.
So I start with simple drills to place my attention on things that tend to deliver. Not overcomplicating matters or insist my observations be accurate.
It is more about alignment, calibration of myself with Price, not technical analysis, in and of itself.
Sometimes it takes only a day to get back in the saddle, never more than 3 days.
🚨🎙️ Robin van Persie on Bruno Fernandes chances not been converted:
🗣️ “Bruno Fernandes has created 132 chances in the Premier League this season, yet only has 20 assists to show for it?
In fact, he's created 670 chances in the Premier League alone since he joined Manchester United. Now imagine if 40% of those chances were all converted.
Our forwards seriously need to step up next season, because you just have to imagine what these guys have done to Bruno.
If our frontline possessed even an ounce of elite, cold-blooded composure, Bruno would be sitting on a completely untouchable assist tally right now.
Instead, he has to practically double his workload just to drag us over the line, casually creating 58 more chances than any other player in the league this season just to equal the 20-assist record.
Our boys have to do much better next season. We cannot keep wasting the peak years of the most creative playmaker the Premier League has ever seen.”
“There must be a way to model the price. There must be a way to model the movement of stocks."
— Jim Simons
Simons reportedly said this to his partner, Jim Ax, during the early days of Monemetrics (the precursor to Renaissance Technologies).
This realization marked the pivot from traditional fundamental investing toward the quantitative, pattern-recognition approach that made the Medallion Fund the most successful hedge fund in history.
"I'm not a creative person."
No, you are, everyone is, but your mind is just clogged by all of the podcasts and social media you ram into it without properly digesting it. You're conditioned to believe you can only take a certain path in life, and you don't daydream or entertain stupid ideas that could set you on an entirely new trajectory. You're so obsessed with being productive and efficient that you feel like you're always falling behind, and that stress prevents you from thinking outside the box.
You need to slow the fuck down, allow yourself to be bored (actually bored, not so overstimulated that you find enjoyable things boring), and pursue a life that you design, not one that was assigned to you.
