Youth Affairs and Creative Economy PS Fikirini Muhindi has been traveling around the country engaging with youths on matters affecting young people.
Over the past weeks, he has held successful meetings in West Pokot, Uasin Gichu, Kericho, among other counties.
Yesterday, it was Nairobi’s turn. The youth meeting was organized at Kariokor, and it went well to the end.
After the meeting, the youths asked the PS for a photo session. The PS agreed.
As the youths were taking photos with the PS, a group of 10 goons forced their way to where the PS was and caused chaos.
At that moment, security decided to take the PS to his car to avoid further commotion. One of the goons forced himself into the PS’s car and demanded to be paid Sh. 100,000.
The PS gave him 10k, and as the goon was climbing down from the PS’s car, he tried to grab a pistol belonging to one of the officers.
At that moment, the officer decided to fire into the air.
What should the PS have done? Those who are trying to bring the young man down should seek the truth first.
