Look at my good puppy on all fours, bowing down to his Princess while he spoils me. 🐶🎀
such a sweet, devoted little thing. ♡ good puppies deserve to be praised when they do their job properly.
hi anemic dommes (all dommes really)❤️
when you get your bloodwork done please be sure to request your ferritin be checked. it's not typically checked in normal bloodwork, but low ferritin will also give you anemic symptoms, even if your iron is in a good range. "iron is the gas, and ferritin the gas tank" -my hematologist
15 is considered the traditional low threshold, but thats like no iron left. many people require over twice that to feel "normal." mine tested to be a 26, and the hematologist gave me an iron infusion after like 5 minutes of talking to me
iron supplements and high iron diets help a little bit, but for many they only raise the ferritin count by a few points. iron infusions are more of a fix to this and introduce a whole lot of iron into your system to raise your ferritin count by A LOT. "most women require at least one iron infusion in their lifetime" -my hematologist (again)
there are also two types of iron infusions. theres one big one, and theres one thats smaller and split up with a few days between each one.
the big iron infusion is less hassle since its one time, then theyll do more bloodwork a few months later to recheck your ferritin levels. since its a mass amount they have to wait that long so its settled and not a spiked number. with that though it may overload your system, and you may get flu like symptoms (iron flu) among other things
the smaller iron infusions theyll give you a few, recheck, and decide if you need more. this is more hassle since you have to keep going in (and getting stuck with needles) but is easier on the system and less likely to overload your system
i got the big iron infusion in late august and overall i am feeling better. i have a better appetite, im a little less tired, my skin is better, im slightly less pale, and my knees (which have hurt for years) feel better. I did deal with the iron flu which lasted a couple days, i had a day of elevated heart rate, but not really anything beyond that
i'm not a doctor but this is what ive learned from my experience with it. i hope this helps yall🫶🏼
happy fridayyy, darlings. payday is here, which means my little wallets just got fed. sooo… what are you doing with that paycheck, puppy? keeping it all to yourself? or are you going to make this princess happy? don’t make me ask twice. ♡ https://t.co/2Mm6E800cP
