@AaronJFentress@RealBetoGarcia@clock_picker @ProcReg @IlhanMN@E_Reid35 Or more expensive cars, houses, vacations, etc? I fear it snowballs throughout this whole generation who feel no responsibility and that they’ll be taken care of no matter what.
@AaronJFentress@RealBetoGarcia@clock_picker @ProcReg @IlhanMN@E_Reid35 In my opinion forgiving the debt sends a very dangerous message. So many already feel entitled today and that would add to it imo. If the loans were forgiven where does those people’s money go? You think it goes to retirements and investments?
@MikeBlackSports @AaronJFentress @ProcReg @IlhanMN@E_Reid35 You get your associates, then transfer. Do research as to what transfers to the school you want to go to. It’s a little work yes. It’s not as fun or glorious as being in a frat or going to a huge college, but you’re better off in the end.
@MikeBlackSports @AaronJFentress @ProcReg @IlhanMN@E_Reid35 And again, go get all of the non essentials done at a local cc then go to the big college where your debt is half of what it would have been had you went there all four or five years. What’s wrong with that?
@MikeBlackSports @AaronJFentress @ProcReg @IlhanMN@E_Reid35 Well, you don’t have to pick that degree either then do you? But you want that degree? Well, I want the big house. 🤷♂️
@AaronJFentress@RealBetoGarcia@clock_picker @ProcReg @IlhanMN@E_Reid35 This isn’t anti-college or elitist at all. It’s simply about responsibility. Everyone can get to the same place but some have to take different longer windier paths to get there.
@AaronJFentress@RealBetoGarcia@clock_picker @ProcReg @IlhanMN@E_Reid35 Then year two, pay 1/4? of what a state college costs, live at home, work, save money. You’ve got two years down and no debt. Why is this not a viable way to do things in your opinion?
@AaronJFentress@RealBetoGarcia@clock_picker @ProcReg @IlhanMN@E_Reid35 The cc here offers free classes for one year to anyone who graduated from an area high school. Why would every kid not take advantage of that? Love at home, work, save money and get one year free college?
@AaronJFentress@RealBetoGarcia@clock_picker @ProcReg @IlhanMN@E_Reid35 Yes I do. I also have a sense of responsibility. Why can those kids not go to cc’s for 2-3 years? You can’t give me a good reason. They’ll come out with at least half the debt.
@AaronJFentress@RealBetoGarcia@clock_picker @ProcReg @IlhanMN@E_Reid35 That’s the problem. What’s wrong with a 10 year gap? Seriously? By that time they are more responsible, focused, and most probably have a better idea of what they’d like get educated in.
