@BenGilroyIRL In this case the army as an arm of national defence were not mobilised . What was used was an formal agreement between the Gardai and army to provide technical support if required - in this case tow trucks , which the Gardai don’t have .

They don’t care . If you have a TD nearby I’d suggest you try to push it with them .

@ColetteColfer Reality is that Ireland has 3.9 million people registered to vote . Even if (let’s be generous ) 70% exercised their right , it still means that the majority were not the protestors on the street , or the social media contributors .
There is a lot of changing of minds needed !!
