MADONNA IS NO. 1 IN THE UK 🇬🇧
Confessions II debuts at No. 1 on the Official UK Albums Chart, as revealed a few minutes ago on BBC Radio 1 — Madonna’s 13th UK No. 1 album.
With 13 chart-toppers, Madonna now equals Elvis Presley on the all-time list of acts with the most UK No. 1 albums.
And she makes history once again: Madonna joins Kylie Minogue as the only two female artists ever to score a UK No. 1 album in five consecutive decades: the ’80s, ’90s, ’00s, ’10s and now the ’20s.
The victory comes at the end of a genuine three-way chart battle, with Sienna Spiro’s debut Visitor at No. 2 and Olivia Rodrigo at No. 3, a duel BBC Radio 1 celebrated on air as one of the most exciting of the year.
Driven overwhelmingly by physical sales — CDs and vinyl flying off shelves in the streaming era — Confessions II proves that when Madonna calls her fans to the dancefloor, they still show up in force.
Queen of Pop. Still writing history. 👑

Billboard: Madonna Has a Real Shot at Three Grammys for 'Confessions II'
Billboard has published a new piece by veteran awards columnist Paul Grein — "Will Madonna Win a Grammy (or Three) for 'Confessions II'?" — laying out, category by category, why the Queen of Pop enters this Grammy season as a serious contender across multiple fields.
According to Grein, the strong early response to Confessions II makes the album a likely frontrunner for Best Dance/Electronic Album at the 69th annual Grammy Awards on February 7 — exactly two decades after Confessions on a Dance Floor took home the same honor in 2006. A win would carry real historical weight: Madonna would become the first woman ever to win the category twice since its introduction in 2005, and her 20-year gap between victories would set a new record for the longest span of wins in the category, surpassing The Chemical Brothers, whose wins currently span 14 years.
The album's individual tracks could add to the tally. Billboard reports that Warner Records is tentatively planning to submit "I Feel So Free" for Best Dance/Electronic Recording, while either "Danceteria" or "Bring Your Love" featuring Sabrina Carpenter would be entered for Best Dance Pop Recording. The Sabrina Carpenter duet may alternatively be submitted for Best Pop Duo/Group Performance — though Grammy rules mean that if it's accepted there, it can't also compete in the dance pop field.
And the ambitions don't stop at the dance categories. Per Billboard, the Confessions II project will also compete in the general field — Album, Record and Song of the Year — alongside Best Music Film for Confessions II: The Film and Best Music Video for "Bring Your Love."
