One thing life has taught me: money definitely doesn’t buy happiness. Sure, it pays for the jets, cars, boats, and houses. It can buy plenty of impressive things, but it can’t buy what truly matters.

Well, it’s Mother’s Day, Mom. This day is always bittersweet for me. On one hand, I was blessed to have the greatest woman to ever walk this earth as my mother. On the other, God took you far too soon.

I miss you terribly every single day—more than words can express—and you are never far from my mind or my heart. You were my rock, my guide, and my conscience. I pray that one day we’ll have the chance to play on our Muskoka beach together again, listening to your favorite song.
