So today I’m going all old school and will go into the bank and withdraw some actual real cash that I will spend over the next week at local businesses rather than giant corporations. Let’s start #SuperCashFridays and stop the move towards a cashless society.
@NTCouncilTeam remember when Omicron decimated trade in early December due to the unnecessary fear mongering? It’s February tomorrow and we still haven’t received the Omicron specific grants…..many authorities paid out last month!
🚨🚨 1 in 5 of the #Covid19 cases added to England hospital admissions are catching the virus within the hospital.
➡️ In the past 7 days 2,733 of the 13,444 new cases caught in hospital.
➡️ Since August 2020 - 54,220 caught within England hospitals.
One third of people included in the Covid hospital figures were not admitted primarily for Covid. Up from 29 per cent last week. Probably higher now. This is from December 28. (Got to 60+ per cent in South Africa)
It’s certainly busy in the NHS at the moment, with a combination of winter pressures and reduced staffing. Are any intensive care units overrun with COVID-19 patients at present? We’re certainly not, numbers remain reasonably manageable and FAR lower than a year ago. Just asking.
The proportion of Covid patients requiring ventilation has almost halved since the arrival of Omicron

Science vs. New Science:
🔸Sweden 🇸🇪 followed science: no lockdowns or masks
🔸The rest of Europe 🇪🇺 followed "new science": lots of lockdowns and mask mandates
Not only Sweden has a much lower excess mortality, it now has a much lower total Covid mortality as well!
