@marilovelycorys You are indeed correct. Currently, processes like removing certain structures, or vaginoplasty and phalloplasty, do not fully give Müllerian or Wolffian structures.
My apologies. By phenotype, I mean literal organ structure, not visual characteristics. I’m just saying phenotype to differentiate between chromosomal sex, which cannot be changed AT ALL currently. Having a virilised vulva does not change your sex.
@allay31988@IHaveOTDSD (Btw i speak for me and how my OTDSD affects me i can’t talk about the other)
but i just tell one thing because i have OTDSD, we are Male OR Female. We don’t change sex and having a OTDSD can have BIG impact to your health.
@marilovelycorys I brought that fact up solely just because the original commenter said it was impossible to change sex, without specifying which kind.
@marilovelycorys My apologies again. By phenotype (which is a term I may stop using in this conversation), I mean LITERAL ORGAN FORMATION, not appearance.
Would you tell that to a man who has lost their testicles to cancer or a woman who’s lost her ovaries to cancer? How is my losing my gonads any different from a man losing his testicles to cancer when the risk for me is testicular cancer because that’s the gonadal tissue that wants to function?
You’re an asshole.
@IHaveOTDSD But surgery is the closest parallel to changing sex. If both the external and internal genitalia is removed, that’s changing sex. Not chromosomes, but phenotypic sex.
