@AndyHazelton Rays are typically cautious with anyone going deep from an analytics POV, but Ras’ lower pitch count is more from a health standpoint. Crazy to think ab how Ras is the first pitcher we know of to ever come back from 3 major elbow surgeries - and he’s been great after the fact too

@MvpYimi @Perbix4Norris @galiotbr well Manny had +0.9 fWAR as a reliever in 2024 and 2025 with a 2.12 ERA in 68 IP. so he’s definitely above replacement level and would be a high leverage arm if healthy. not the specific reason we lost but a rly good pitcher nonetheless

@Wirfs2Canton Slider was by far the worst of his secondaries pre-TJS but it has looked better so far this season which is pretty cool. I think his pitch mix today was the best so far this season honestly tho, throw as many secondaries as possible and save the fastball bullets
