I was tryna ride the bus and I pull up my student schedule to show this white lady bus driver that I’m a student and she calls the police on me instead of letting me get on the bus when fare is literally a dollar, next bus comes and it’s a black lady and she lets me on no problem

As Black Students for Revolution, we are calling a Black United Front, call-to-action meeting upon our return from break. We are compiling a list of grievances and would like to collect stories about other incidents on campus that have gone unacknowledged and unreported.

#BLACKUIUC! Since the beginning of the semester, we have witnessed multiple, racially charged incidents on our campus: the hanging of a noose, multiple swastikas, racial slurs written in bathroom stalls, and a pick up truck waving a confederate flag.

@AllBlackUIUC If it’s one thing I’ve noticed this semester specifically, is most of our school officials front about giving a shit about the minority populations on this campus.

We need solidarity and an intentional critique of who we have ENABLING a lot of this toxicity.
