Hello! You may have noticed I haven't been doing the blog this season and I felt I should address it: All Blue *as it existed* is on permanent hiatus. This is, you have to believe me, good news! I got a job that will keep me around Michigan Olympic sports.

also just in case you were wondering at some point in like, august I turned off all paid subscriptions. you can't do it via ghost which is annoying so it might still say you're a "paid" subscriber but I turned them all off via stripe.

I still intend on maintaining the blog as a space where I can get bored and write about the Tigers or DCFC or, still, Michigan, but my relationship with the athletic department has changed such that I just can't run a blog that covers teams. But seriously it's cool. More soon.

The reason I disappeared during the Olympics is under NDA which is a funny thing to say that is also true. The reason I haven't done anything this season is not under NDA, but I won't be putting it on X, I'll do a post-mortem newsletter in late October but trust me it's cool.

Hello, some good news bad news: I’ve been called on some unexpected international travel (good news) that’s going to make it really difficult to be as diligent for week 2. Apologies.

The two Decathlon events will definitely be on Peacock, maybe NBC.

Canada basketball loses to Australia. They have one game left in the group stage, Sunday against Nigeria. They need to win to possibly advance, and likely get help elsewhere. For starters, root for Nigeria against France, 11:15 today on Peacock. @CanBball

Last year during qualifying there was an announcer who consistently pronounced “Swords” with the same sw sound as “Swap” or “Swim” but this announcer is pronouncing it with the silent W, as in the plural of Sword
