February 7, 2010 was one of the most unforgettable games in Capitals history — Snowvechkin ❄️🏒
With a massive snowstorm hitting Washington, the Capitals found themselves down 4–1 to the Pittsburgh Penguins. Alex Ovechkin then took over, scoring a hat trick to help Washington storm all the way back and force overtime 🔥
Mike Knuble finished the comeback in overtime, giving the Capitals an incredible 5–4 victory in one of the wildest games ever played at the Verizon Center.
Capitals’ lineup: 430 combined NHL games.
Flyers’: 6,874.
Only five Caps had played an NHL game.
Washington was outshot 37-24 — and won 5-1.

@sammisilber Will be interesting to see how they spread out ice time among the forwards. Rolled 4 lines tonight, wonder if they shorten, as they really don’t need to with 4 solid lines. My only fear after tonight is our puck movement from dman before ras gets back
