Well I just got diagnosed with ADHD, Inattentive Type and it literally has shifted my perspective on my entire fucking life. Like it explains SO MUCH of what I have struggled with since I was a kid. Brb while I contemplate every experience I’ve ever had through a different lens.

So in 5th grade we did a “wax museum” where we dressed up like a historical figure and gave a little speech about them. My white af 11-year-old self decided to portray Harriet Tubman 🤦🏻‍♀️ I just thank the Lord there was no blackface involved. But honestly... who let me do that?!?!

@MalcoImFleX Oh noooo! I don’t remember that, but I am now curious to check the 5th grade memory book to see if it was memorialized there 😅 I truly don’t know why not a single teacher thought to themselves that we maybe shouldn’t have white kids portraying important Black historical figures.
