And for those that want the young man to get an extra mill or so, Just poney up to Florida Victorious since you want all the boosters to fund everything, plus you could be the hero that saves the day.🤣🤣🤣
@Blue_Orange_G8r It is amazing how quick people are to spend money that is not theirs. Unless you’re putting up the extra $250K, I don’t think you have much of an opinion.
I’m seeing plenty of Florida fans criticizing the football program’s recent hires, with some even threatening to withdraw their support. Jon Sumrall has been labeled Billy Napier 2.0 by critics, while others point to David Caldwell’s record as Jacksonville Jaguars GM as evidence he’s the wrong choice.
I’d encourage a different perspective. The industry insiders I’ve consulted speak highly of both Sumrall and Caldwell. Billy Napier’s shortcomings were in game management. Nick Polk’s tenure as Gators GM fell short across the board.
Lane Kiffin may have been the flashy, exciting option, but buyer beware. Sumrall and Caldwell deserve an opportunity to prove themselves. Set aside whatever you think of athletic director Scott Stricklin and consider supporting Sumrall and Caldwell, who left really good positions to restore the Gators to greatness.
A lot of folks say they support the program, but it never goes beyond the couch or a post. If the new hire isn’t for you, simply don’t tune in. Use your free will and detach yourself from the program. Your opinions aren’t changing anything. We move……
When LSU fires a coach that won 10 games 3 times after firing a national championship winning head coach they have giant balls and are always down to play ball, but when Florida fires the worst head coach in its history the fanbase is toxic. Weird stuff from the national media.
@theebigbossSS If NIL, rev share and the portal make things even; externalities like prestige, history, the Swamp, recruiting base and affinity could make the difference. Or maybe a coach is just happy where they are.
Like many others, I’d like to thank Billy Napier for his relentless effort and the impact he has made on so many. As Gator fans, we have high expectations and results matter. But I hope you’ll join me in thanking Coach Napier for the way he invested in the lives of our players, always carried himself with the highest integrity and built a strong culture in a college era where that’s hard to do. God bless. 🙏🏼
Thank you, Coach.
The wins and losses weren’t what we wanted, but nobody can doubt the care you had for your players and staff.
Best of luck in the future, Billy.
Serious programs would've fired Billy last year. James Franklin is 10x the coach Billy is and has been let go mid season. Stricklin don't know what he's doing
