a terrific urge to lie in bed all day
and read. Fought against it for a minute.
Then looked out the window at the rain.
And gave over. Put myself entirely
in the keep of this rainy morning…

Bookworm was a window on a new world. I used to go through the archives and listen to endless interviews. Michael Silverblatt was the perfect host - erudite but always curious and excited to know more. He awakened countless people to literature. A life well and fully lived. RIP
