Friday lunch time fun at Allhallows. The children had a fantastic game with the parachute, so many joined in that there was hardly any space left around the edge. It was lovely to see the sun shining too. @LA_Trust

A great afternoon with our visitors from The Guildhall Museum. Rowan Class continued to learn about Charles Dickens and the Victorians. They really enjoyed crafting plates and napkin rings to join the rest of the banqueting table. I hope the Queen approves. @LA_Trust

Rowan Class discovered just how clean their hands were. By using a digital microscope they looked under and around their nails. After a few ooooooos and yuks, it became clear that extra washing power was needed. Keep those hands clean and stay safe everyone. @LA_Trust

Oak Class have been estimating length in metres. We used our outside space to draw heights and widths of dinosaurs. The children were surprised how small some were and amazed that some were the length of half the playground. Their behaviour was impeccable outside. @LA_Trust

During Science week the children experienced what it was like to be visually impaired. They considered a number of different sports and the barriers that disabled people could face. Playing catch and football blindfolded was very challenging. How is that overcome? @LA_Trust

Oak Class discovered facilities in their local area and Chestnut Class search for countries that we trade with. They used Google Earth to zoom in to see industrial areas and where you can visit in Medway. An informative PYP session.

Rowan Class were puzzled! How did this digger follow the black line? After trialing various other colours, they discovered that it would only work on black. What super fun they had creating a brilliant map from their trail, it now hangs proudly on display. @LA_Trust

The whole school were busily participating in a plethora of fun Maths activities on Friday in aid of NSPCC. Number Day included cooking to programming, challenges and quizzes, there was certainly a huge amount of excitement. Thank you for your continued support.@LA_Trust

Years 3&4 making their planned comic strip plan come to life. Using the online resource Book Creator they showed fantastic skills of importing images, make videos, using stickers and text bubbles. It was brilliant to see the fun they were having, with amazing results.@LA_Trust

Year 5 crafting their movie set characters. After planning, creating backdrops, the class were ready to use Zu3d to make their very own stop/go animation. Great collaboration was shown as their projects developed. Now for editing and enhancing, super fun. @LA_Trust

Year 6 first take of their news casts. They planned, researched, written scripts and practiced. PYP coming alive in our creative curriculum. The children were confident, which was great to see. Their questioning was amazing followed by a very realistic weather forecast.@LA_Trust

What sort of music would accompany a world natural disaster? Rowan Class were thrilled to use our new iPads to compose sequences of sounds to match these devastating catastrophes. They searched for Chrome Music Lab and fully immersed themselves in the exciting music. @LA_Trust

Rowan Class prepare to read the news. They are taking their reports very seriously, with ‘specialists’ to answer key questions too. Followed by the evening’s weather forecast. They loved watching their films back and evaluating their performance. @LA_Trust

Year 5 have been using Sphero Minis, which packs tons of fun into a tiny, app-enabled robotic ball. Drive, play games, learn program your Sphero to change colour or make a sound. What a brilliant, exciting way to learn programming using the language of Java Script @LA_Trust
