“A former military officer now working for a navy contracting company, who has been briefed on the shortfalls, said: ‘They’re fucked. They shot all their weapons; they trashed all their ships; they ran out of their money.’”

President Trump decided to dip into the U.S. strategic petroleum reserve after his Iran War crashed global oil supply.
Now the strategic reserve is at its lowest level since 1982.
Please don't overreact to Roberts Court decision on the contemplated USPS ballot moves
They simply held that the injunction came too early, before a final rule👇
Now we HAVE a final rule & we will litigate it. I'm as confident in our arguments here as in any of our cases!
Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner have canceled their planned trip to Kyiv because of “heavy russian air strikes on the city.”
Witkoff and Kushner have traveled to Moscow eight times for meetings with Putin.
But when it comes to visiting Kyiv, russian air strikes suddenly make the trip too dangerous.
Meanwhile, presidents and prime ministers from a dozen European countries have visited Kyiv over the past several days — despite those very same russian attacks.
This tells you something important about American diplomacy under Trump.
For months, we have been told that Witkoff and Kushner are trying to broker peace between russia and Ukraine. Yet the people supposedly acting as intermediaries repeatedly travel to Moscow, meet with Putin, listen to russia’s demands - and cannot even bring themselves to travel to the capital of the country russia is invading.
You cannot understand this war by visiting Moscow eight times and Kyiv zero times.
And you certainly cannot be an honest broker if you are willing to sit comfortably across the table from the aggressor but are too afraid to visit the victim because the aggressor might bomb you.
European leaders are showing what solidarity looks like.
Washington is showing what cowardliness and complacency look like.
"D-Day" is desperate window dressing.
Iran is winning the war. Trump is losing. And Americans are paying a huge, huge cost.
1/ Let's review where we are, and why these sanctions are another fool's errand.
It sure looks to me like Fedorov got recruited by Musk/Thiel into their tech influence network, then was caught by Zelensky and fired for that reason. Fedorov seems to be advocating for the “pragmatism” they favor, which will ultimately benefit resource extractors.
We need missiles for Patriots, and only our partners can provide them. We ain’t talking about gifts. Ukraine is ready to buy the weapons we need. What matters is that decisions be made, first and foremost in the U.S. I am grateful to everyone who is helping Ukraine save lives.
Moscow is raising the temperature on Ukraine and Europe with scant public pushback from the U.S.:
“Huge Russian strikes on Kyiv leave 16 dead as attacks spill over to Romanian and Moldovan territory” - @CNN https://t.co/RmDxAd3PAX
His policies have made the national debt explode at record rates. Far from just “exacerbating” the crisis, President Trump has caused a fiscal meltdown that will crush this generation. Forget the blather about future generations being harmed by debt. That crisis is upon us now.
To all the people whining about any commentary on Natalie Harp:
We’re paying her $150,000 salary. Trump isn’t. Perfectly legitimate to ask what job serving the public she’s doing.
.@POTUS@realDonaldTrump is allowing North Korea to attack the capital of the free world and kill civilians, children…@NATO@USAmbNATO must do better and provide @ZelenskyyUa with defense mechanisms to intercept Russian misiles…this war has to stop….
Why does Peter Thiel, through his proxy JD Vance, want the end of the dollar as a reserve currency, and thus the end of US hegemony?
That’s exactly what Russia, China, Iran, and North Korea (enemies of the US) want
Dear taxpayer: the way they are lighting your money on fire - for a war of insane vanity - is reason enough to boot out of office anyone who is empowering this war mongering profligate.
BREAKING: A senior Iranian official has confirmed that Iran will impose transit fees of 5% to 7% of cargo value on ships using the Strait of Hormuz—worth roughly $100 billion annually at pre-war traffic levels—with Chinese vessels exempt under the drafted deal, according to Reuters.
At 7%, the toll would generate approximately $385 million per day. For a single VLCC carrying 2 million barrels of crude, the fee would be roughly $11 million. With almost no cost of collection, about 97% would be pure profit.
The scale is staggering. The Strait would become about as profitable as Alphabet ($132B in 2025), Nvidia ($120B FY2026), Apple and Microsoft (both just crossed $100B), and Saudi Aramco ($105B). It would represent 15–20 times the Suez Canal's all-time peak revenue.
For Iran, this would exceed a third of the country's GDP—without pumping a barrel.
Measles cases are surging, the CDC has 25% less staff, and we just had our first two cyclospora deaths. Whooping cough is back!
But sure, let's argue about whether "the science" is trustworthy instead of asking why his own agency is failing on basic public health.
