An avalanche triggered by Chinese construction in high-altitude Himalayan areas caused today’s devastating flash flood.
China’s Xiaokang settlements on fragile glacial terrain are creating annual environmental disasters on the China-Nepal border.
Today's flood originated near Gyirong town in occupied Tibet, where hillsides were cut away for development.
The town itself sits directly on the natural path of the Trishuli River.
This damage to delicate glacial ecosystems now causes recurring annual avalanches, leading to severe flash floods in Nepal that destroy property and cost lives.
Furthermore, China intentionally placed the Gyirong port at the Rasuwa border confluence, which accelerates river velocity directly toward Nepali territory.
This construction strategy creates a deliberate and reckless ecological hazard.
Nepal's Prime Minister must raise this critical issue with Beijing, as these invasive border developments inflict irreversible damage on the Himalayan ecosystem.
Pray for Nepal and Tibet people
