Exactly. How seriously candidates take AI & its impact on jobs, nat sec, society is a marker of how in touch candidates are with reality…a division between the old guard versus new guard. Candidates shouldn’t let perfect policy be the enemy of getting the principles right.
SuperPACs backed by Big AI and Trump donors are pouring millions into races this cycle.
Why? They want to stop *anyone* daring to stand up to them with radical ideas like requiring their products to be safe and holding them accountable when they cause harm.
They think they can buy elections. We can prove them wrong.

I grew up in a region where they told us that if you wanted to make something of yourself, you had to get out. After I did, I began to understand what it means to be from somewhere.
A lot of people in rural, lower-income, and industrial communities hear that same message. But it doesn't have to be that way.
