It’s been two years since we’ve had Field Day and it was an amazing day for the kids, parents and teachers. The best part was seeing how happy and excited the children were today. I love my EP family and am so lucky to be a part of such a wonderful place! #WeArePlainedge
People don’t recall a favorite textbook or curriculum. Most can’t tell you what they learned in any given school year. But they can tell you whether or not they liked their teachers. Teachers leave a lasting impression. Make sure you’re the one they recall with fondness.
If you teach students anything, teach them that they have value and talents. If not then nothing else will really matter to them, but when you do, everything else will begin to matter to them.
@johnnybananas@GaryGHamilton@AP Glad the show is finally getting recognition. Been a fan since day 1. Why won’t @mtv@BunimMurray air marathons or past seasons? I have to pay on Amazon! Who needs to watch Ridiculousness over and over? This is probably the 2nd worst of all the seasons though.Still ❤️ the show.
I ❤️ this video, especially seeing some of my students on it. Teachers miss their students just as much as their students miss them. That’s what’s so special about school. “No significant learning occurs without a significant relationship.” - James Comer
Thank you to Brei Travalena, a Schwarting Elementary parent, for creating this wonderful video for our incredible teachers here at #WeArePlainedge as well as other districts! #notallheroeswearcapes https://t.co/gARdpeVAdM
Here are some clips of my first graders acting out their Book Club books. With only one session to prepare, I must “applaud” their hard work! Not everyone wanted to be taped, but everyone did a fantastic job! @East_Principal @AlliWasserman #WeArePlainedge
Some more clips of my students acting out their books. Research has shown that when children are given the opportunity to act out a written text, their reading comprehension can actually double. @AlliWasserman @East_Principal
The children have been working very hard to engage in meaningful “book talk”, where they make connections to texts, notice important details, talk about characters’ feelings etc. Thanks @AlliWasserman for your #coaching! #proudteacher@TCRWP@CHoneyman_PPS@East_Principal
