All eyes on Rafah. People debating student protest slogans want to distract you from what the students are actually protesting, which is this genocide.
#McGillFactCheck: McGill says students will graduate on time. Days until @LawMcGill graduation: 24. Days until @mcgillu has agreed to sit down to restart negotiations on a collective agreement: 33. Any graduation list not approved by our members in Faculty Council is 'false'.
Seeing the anger & hate displayed for 2SLGBTQI+ people recently has been very concerning & disappointing to see.
Why spend all this time harassing communities that are already marginalized?
Choose love...Not hate!

In Ontario: Kids learn about sexual orientation in grade 6. And about gender in grade 8. Maybe the school does an assembly about respecting diversity for pride month. And maybe a school rainbow club hosts a bake sale.
That’s pretty much it.
Facts over fear.
Student @AllisonLalla wrote an opinion editorial for her Feminist Law Reform course (CML 4917B). 'Keeping cities cool helps keep women safe' was published by the Montreal Gazette.

This is your periodic reminder that the Poutinefests in Ottawa are run by Leslie Gagne, a staunch convoy supporter.
Yes, even the one in Orleans this weekend.
one of the first things this guy did in office was strip the six-month grace period for OSAP, meaning student debts would begin accruing on the day of a student’s graduation but ya here’s this lil gem for cop friends
So much of ableism under capitalism emerges out of two assumptions:
(1) disability is the worst burden that could ever befall a person because it limits productivity, and
2) should disability happen to you, it’s naturally your own burden to bear because care is a commodity.
"How do we move equity and justice to the center in designing just, equitable and sustainable cities, rather than retrofitting them after our ‘real’ goals have been met?" I wrote this in 2014 https://t.co/wIOfVS9l0a. Good to see Best Practices emerging. https://t.co/4X6LeuGQx8
"Trees and other natural, low-tech cooling solutions matter to make us safe — not just to prevent heat-related illness, but to protect women. Our solutions need to be systemic, and we need to design them for everyone," writes @AllisonLalla via @mtlgazette#GBV
My opinion. Hot take? In the context of criminal law in Canada. If you do not accept that systemic racism is a part of the legal profession and the justice system as a whole, you are not competent to practice criminal law in Canada. Addressing it requires us to acknowledge it.
the reason why i continue to focus on police is because no matter your cause- climate, education, reproductive justice, labor, voting, etc - cops will be there, opposing you, arresting you. when you condemn reducing police budgets, you support cops arresting people seeking care
Excited to share my first op-ed, published by @mtlgazette ! How nature based approaches to heat waves also help tackle gender-based violence

ICYMI: “In just over a year, we collectively welcomed more than 167,585 Ukrainian refugees in Canada quickly & efficiently with very little handwringing. Why? Because the political will was available, and Canadians generally saw them as deserving of help.” https://t.co/5BxDiHLFr6
The far right is using trans women to fuel extremism across North America. It is centered on trans women, but it won’t stop with us.
The fight against anti-trans hate is a fight against patriarchy, homophobia and transphobia.
We need all our allies in this fight with us.
