As an adult, I’ve lived in a number of places, but as far as I’m concerned, I’ve only ever had one real home. My home is my family. My home is Barack. #TheLightWeCarry
Not trying to force what doesn’t flow is a sign of growth.
You’re no longer invested in convincing people of your worth.

I don’t believe in “taking photos prevents you from enjoying the moment”, nor do I believe in being on my phone 24/7. Balance is key. I say that because I’m SO THANKFUL to have a collection of videos / photos documenting my fondest times. Reviewing them puts me in the best mood.

Growing pains are called growing pains for a reason.
It’s not comfortable or clear what’s ahead, but it’s not supposed to be.
But when you stay down and stay focused on the growth — You lift your head in a better space than you could’ve planned.
Trust the process.

“never quit” sounds great, but sometimes, you gotta quit. be willing to say, “this isn’t what i thought it was,” or “this doesn’t appeal to me anymore.” remember that you can quit “the thing” without quitting on yourself. remember that persistence and fluidity can coexist.
