We recently signed a strategic mutual defence agreement with brotherly countries of Saudi Arabia and Türkiye
Which is a milestone in our diplomatic successes. This agreement is a historic step towards international defence and security
Which has further strengthened Pakistan's leadership role and defence exports
Deeply appreciate President Donald Trump’s kind words of support on the signing of the Makkah Joint Defence Agreement.
Together with the brotherly Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Republic of Turkiye, Pakistan will continue to play a constructive role in ensuring the defence of our own countries as well as the entire region.
I would also like to once again commend President Trump for his courageous and decisive leadership, which helped avert a nuclear catastrophe in South Asia and saved millions of lives.
Durable peace is the most essential prerequisite for a bright and prosperous future for our peoples. @realDonaldTrump

Greater intelligence-sharing, border security cooperation and coordinated action can contribute to regional stability while advancing Pakistan’s security interests.
The 4th Pakistan-US Counter-Terrorism Dialogue underscores a shared recognition of the evolving terrorist threat. For Pakistan, this engagement is particularly significant as it continues to bear the brunt of terrorism.

Importantly, Islamabad has framed the pact as defensive—not directed against any country. Its success will depend on translating political solidarity into credible cooperation while avoiding entanglement in partners’ conflicts.
The Makkah Defence Agreement marks a significant shift in regional security dynamics. For Pakistan, the trilateral partnership with Saudi Arabia and Türkiye strengthens strategic deterrence, deepens ties with two key partners, and supports a greater regional role
As regional tensions persist, Islamabad’s diplomatic outreach reflects Pakistan’s effort to position itself as a constructive regional interlocutor and contribute to de-escalation.
Pakistan is seeking to revive its mediation efforts between Iran and the US, with Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi’s Tehran visit aimed at keeping the Islamabad MoU process alive.

The agreement comes amid unprecedented instability in West Asia, growing missile threats, uncertainty surrounding external security guarantees, and increasing pressure on regional states to develop their own security mechanisms.

Pakistan has consistently warned about India's vertical proliferation and the gradual shift toward a more operationally ready nuclear force. Recent assessments only reinforce concerns that have long been overlooked.
The latest SIPRI findings should serve as a wake-up call for the international community. India's evolving nuclear posture is no longer merely a regional concern—it has growing implications for global strategic stability.

The international community must move beyond selective approaches to nuclear responsibility. Advanced technologies and strategic capabilities transferred without adequate consideration of their implications can have consequences that transcend regional boundaries.
