25+ years in web strategy & SEO. I coach website owners, marketers, and small business operators one-to-one on winning the searches buyers actually make.
If you want your SEO plugin to help you rank, use it for what it actually controls: titles, meta descriptions, sitemaps, indexing.
Rankings come from what it can't touch: authority, links, content that matches the search.
The plugin is plumbing. Necessary, not sufficient.
If you want your pages to show up in AI answers too, answer the question in the first two sentences. Clear, quotable, direct. The machines cite the clearest answer, not the longest one.
If you want to know whether a keyword deserves a page, search it yourself. Results full of products, services, and comparisons = commercial. Results full of beginner guides = informational. Build the page that matches what you sell.
If you want more search traffic, don't start with more content. Start with the pages you already have: match each of them to one search, one intent, one next step. Most sites get further fixing what's live than publishing more.

This isn't an argument against blogging. It's an argument about sequence.
Build the path between a buyer's search and your offer first.
You can teach the browsers next.

How:
1. List the specific situations where someone would hire you.
2. Search those phrases yourself.
3. Look for results full of services, products, or comparison pages.
4. Check whether the competition is realistic.
5. Build one focused page for each validated need.
Ecommerce sites typically have better user metrics than info-only or affiliate marketing sites, because users tend to visit multiple pages. How can you encourage your visitors to click over to other pages and improve your metrics.
SEO Tip to improve your chances of ranking (or recovering) since the HCU apocalypse
Do what ecommerce sites are doing.
Ecommerce sites have experienced significant SEO growth over the past 9 months.
This is typically done on collection pages, or blog post pages that incorporate product listings. They are likely to click on product listings, improving user metrics.
