@sliingc makes it tragic.but saying it cancels consent entirely risks turning feminism into a theory where poor women never count as agents until the system is fixed. I want feminism that fights the system without speaking over the women living inside it2/2
@sliingc I agree that real feminism exposes how capitalism and patriarchy corner women into horrible situations. Where we differ is that I don’t think exposing coercion requires declaring women’s consent void once survival is involved. Poverty explains why a choice is made and makes it1/2
@sliingc I agree women aren’t protected. I just don’t see bans creating alternatives. usually they remove visibility and protections while the conditions stay the same. Women pay the cost either way.
