@KaitlinMil89@Bard_Oduir@paleochristcon@preposterousbbg The most important lesson of parenting is that you can only teach them the principles of right and wrong. They need to learn their own lessons. They will ignore direct advice.
Set a foundation of being a good person and you’ve set them up as best you can
@Bresney6hvv@saadnvd1@dhh I’ve started my own business this year because of AI, while I continue to advance my career on AI. Because it became abundantly clear that AI was going to massively shift work.
So I got put on ai projects at work. It’s called adapting
@DianaSteele They called me an anti vaxxer for not wanting to take one brand new experimental vaccine.
I watched people like me turn from vaccine acceptance to absolute full on anti vaxxers because of that behaviour.
These people are doing a massive disservice to their own cause
@TamIWas This was the same mistake you made with Covid. Labeling other people despite their own nuanced opinions is off-putting and will drive more people to the fringes.
This kind of binary thinking is extremist behaviour
@Erics_Alter_Ego@BudrinoPolitics I don’t want to fund hockey night in Canada.
But if my tax dollars are going there anyway, might as well be to something people actually enjoy instead of the dogshit that they usually have
@BudrinoPolitics We are paying for it, against our will. We are allowed to be critical of both its existence as well as its content.
There is no contradiction there, and thinking there is is Neanderthal thinking
@SquireArtorias@Super__Yan Most women are incapable of putting holes in walls.
But death threats, slobber crying and throwing objects is exceedingly common
@ErrorUFO420@NeverRetreat83 I regularly change my mind when presented with facts that change the story. I surround myself with people who are the same.
It’s not nobody, but it is rare.
@NeverRetreat83 One of the most frustrating parts of being intelligent is learning that most people are incapable of introspection and abstract thinking.
They literally just want to hear what they want to hear.
In Canada, Criminal Code s.46 defines high treason as killing/attempting to kill the sovereign, levying war against Canada (or preparatory acts), or assisting an enemy at war with Canada. Treason covers using force/violence to overthrow the federal or provincial government, or unauthorized transfer of military/scientific info to a foreign agent that harms Canada's defence, plus related conspiracies or overt intentions. Political advocacy or seeking foreign support falls outside these elements.
If you're one of the dicks that's bitching about the Canadian government sending out grocery rebates to people who really need it AND continue to flex your high food bills online (hey, I just bought a $137 tomahawk steak!), you really are a POS human.
Truly, a POS human.
@lizisamused I’m an elder millennial. Early 40s.
We are just entering divorce age. Half the cohort is 10-15 years younger than me.
Give it time before declaring victory
