[Chris @TrialByAmbush2]

@JPPetersonSprts Can’t be done. I wish one of these stat nerds got bull dozed by A-Train.

#aboveaverage

[PewterReport 🏴‍☠️ @PewterReport]

@tometrics Listen, stat nerd, my argument is that Alstott, a 5x Pro Bowler & 3x first team All-Pro, is in the Bucs Ring of Honor, he’s in the Bucs record books, his No. 40 jersey is off limits, he’s got a STATUE inside One Buc Place next to the Super Bowl trophy he helped win. Analyze that.

[PewterReport 🏴‍☠️ @PewterReport]

Thankfully that’s not your call to make. Alstott was a real weapon that scored a team record 78 TDs, including some of the biggest and most important in #Bucs history. Sorry, spreadsheets can’t measure the heart, grit and momentum that Alstott brought to Tampa Bay.

[Luke Easterling @LukeEasterling]

Which play was more important? I'll trade a loss on 1st-and-10 for punching it in when it matters.

Nobody would argue that Mike Alstott was touch-for-touch the most efficient back of his time. But...who cares? He didn't need to be to be one of the team's most memorable players.

NFL street legend Mike Alstott was an absolute monster

[A-Train40 @allsttott]

Heard some have been saying that I was below average.

[Jonathan Valencia @JonValenciaDTSN]

The NFL really needs another Mike Alstott

[JC Cornell @CornellNFL]

#Bucs twitter looked fun yesterday.

Here’s a video of Mike Alstott sealing a Buccaneers W against the Ravens in 2001.
