What an evening yesterday! Super glad to have had our loved ones come out on a speed boat, spot us from Dungeness/ Galley Hill AND from taken pics from a plane above! All as we enjoyed surfing the east coast at sunset. Up there with one of the best days of our lives. Morale ⬆️
The #GBRowChallenge22 Virtual Teams are well and truly up and running - current leaders Team Puffin have clocked up an amazing 463km, with Team Waterberries and Battle Abbey School close behind. Spend your day "dot watching" and sign up to take part at https://t.co/bAb5zbYdWn
53rd hour at sea: It took longer to get around Dungeness headlands than expected, the tide was not in our favour, but we saw our first dolphins and more seals! Persisting on our route towards our homeland of Bexhill. Welldone to the other crews passing there earlier today
Day 1 we successfully navigated out of the Thames on schedule, we took the favourable tide out into the estuary but unfortunately our route was scuppered by five ferries/ cargo ships of which we had to wait for to pass! We’ve had tide against us all morning, but some good sun🌞
The brilliant all-female crew @allsystemsrow who’ll be taking on @GBRow2022 - 2,000 miles around GB starting Sunday from Tower Bridge. World Record if under 51 days plus they’ll collect vital marine data on the way. Good luck! @bbcsoutheast 6.30pm 🚣♀️
Big Thank you to Mike Graham for speaking to our skipper Jess Plail today. It is a truly big challenge we’ll be undertaking in just 2 days time! @TalkTV
