Let me tell you a story. My 16yo is now pain free but had stage IV Endometriosis excised 3 mths ago. She was in abject pain from age 14: pelvic, legs, hips, back, chest. Struggled to walk and regularly passed out. Yes teens can have severe disease. #Endometriosis#excision#BSGE
Idk who needs to hear this but being active does make a long term difference in cramps.
And that doesn’t mean you have to become a workout junkie but little things like consistent stretching, yoga, walks, & dancing all contribute.
The biggest game changer is being mindful of what triggers cramping and makes it worse.
And not just paying attention when you’re in pain.
To manage endo pain you want to be proactive and your approach is to prevent cramping from being as bad as it can be.
I think it’s important to note that before I started looking for natural ways to manage my chronic pain I made ALOT of lifestyle and diet changes. I had to remove or moderate things in my diet that contributed to my endo flare ups.
@lavidacelestial Omg! I don’t hear too many people complain about that but yesss the pain from a sciatic nerve is horrid. Even when the cramps go away that pain shooting to my legs and back is paralyzing
Example:
Changing your diet in the middle of a real bad “flare up” won’t alleviate any pain in that moment.
However, changing your diet for a month can make the next months pain way more tolerable.
