Garlic Butter Steak & Cheesy Potatoes Skillet
Ingredients
Steak
1½ lbs (700 g) steak, cut into bite-sized pieces
2 tbsp olive oil
3 tbsp butter
4 garlic cloves, minced
1 tsp onion powder
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp smoked paprika
Salt, to taste
Freshly ground black pepper, to taste
1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
Cheesy Potatoes
1½ lbs (700 g) baby potatoes, cut into small cubes
1 tbsp olive oil
1 tsp garlic powder
½ tsp Italian seasoning
Salt and black pepper, to taste
1 cup (100 g) shredded mozzarella cheese
½ cup (50 g) shredded cheddar cheese
2 tbsp grated Parmesan cheese
Garnish
Fresh parsley, chopped
Red pepper flakes
Instructions
Step 1: Prepare the Potatoes
Wash and cut the potatoes into small cubes (about 1 inch).
Toss the potatoes with:
Olive oil
Garlic powder
Italian seasoning
Salt
Black pepper
Heat a large skillet over medium heat.
Add the potatoes and cook for 15–20 minutes, stirring occasionally, until golden and tender.
Step 2: Cook the Steak
Remove the steak from the refrigerator about 15–20 minutes before cooking.
Pat dry with paper towels.
Season with:
Salt
Black pepper
Garlic powder
Onion powder
Smoked paprika
Push the potatoes to one side of the skillet or remove them temporarily.
Add olive oil and sear the steak pieces over high heat.
Cook until desired doneness:
Medium rare: about 3 minutes per side
Add butter and minced garlic.
Spoon the garlic butter over the steak for about 1 minute.
Remove steak and let it rest for 5 minutes before serving.
Step 3: Combine Steak & Cheesy Potatoes
Return the steak pieces to the skillet with the potatoes.
Sprinkle evenly with:
Mozzarella cheese
Cheddar cheese
Parmesan cheese
Cover the skillet and cook on low heat for 2–3 minutes until the cheese melts.
