“no intentions of doing so … i’ve dealt with enough pissed off witches for this century .”
he scoffed, though a grin claimed his lips, clearly amused by them.
“oh, definitely. especially sad that you don’t sit on answers for their existence, either .”
⠀
"So long as you don't piss me off, you're safe."
He snickered leaning back in his seat, hand raised to run through his hair.
"Must have been interesting and odd to hear voices you didn't create yourself coming from someone else."
⠀
”i realized, don’t worry .”
words he rarely spoke, but he had no interest in getting on the bad side of someone too powerful.
”again, the voices. i heard them from miles away, usually it’s me putting them there, so … the curiosity got the better of me .”
⠀
"Unfortunately for you, I'm not as easy to control. Comes with how powerful I am."
Snorting softly he closed his book and set it aside. Wondering if maybe they had heard his name from somewhere before..
"And what about me caught your attention, Elarion?"
⠀
”it’s so entertaining though, at least with those less powerful than you. they’re so … easy to control .”
he’d hummed happily, a soft-sounding snicker following before their question caught his full attention again.
”well, i’m elarion .”
⠀
"Yeah, most witches don't appreciate someone peeking inside their minds unannounced."
Resting their chin in the palm of their hand, brow raised in curiosity.
"You didn't answer my question though, who are you?"
⠀
”yeah … your kind doesn’t like it when someone snoops inside their head .”
he shrugged, palms digging into the pockets of his pants.
”oh, i picked up on your distance from quite the distance … and given who i am, what i do, it intrigued me to seek the source out .”
⠀
"I have no reason to dislike you but apparently they do. You riled them up quite a bit."
He lowered the book to look at him, taking in his appearance.
"So..who are you?"
⠀
”how cute of them … makes sense, though. witches tend to dislike me .”
he let out a dark chuckle, hands lifting in defeat as he rose to stand again; apologizes .”
⠀
"Sometimes I can. Some voices are louder than other's. Most of the time it's warnings..
Like right now, they're telling me to be weary of you.
Also can you please not sit on my desk."
⠀
he moved to take a proper seat on top of the desk, though he was still tall enough for his feet to keep contact with the floor.
“you can’t understand what they’re telling you … ?”
⠀
⠀
”hm because she was mine first. it was me who looked after her, when she was all alone and afraid …”
he paused, exhalibg a sigh for dramatic effect.
”… and when i leave her alone for a just few days, and then come back to find her +
⠀
" not until you give me a good reason . . . why show up now, hm 𖤠 she's perfectly fine with me — doubt she needs someone from her . . past to come waltzing back in . . . "
a beat.
" and don't / dear / me . . . "
⠀
elarion stepped out of their mind —— now appearing beside them, leaning against the desk while curious eyes studied what they seemed so occupied with.
”and what do they want from you ?”
⠀
"They're always loud."
He mused aloud, hand raised as a book floated across the room into his open palm.
"They used to be quieter..but as I grew older they became louder."
⠀
to abandon her and leave her behind … which probably explained why she was so extremely attached to vincent after he voluntarily took her in and showed genuine care.
”be so kind and just tell me where she is, dear. i see no point in arguing about this .”
⠀
⠀
”father … creator … friend … whatever you’d like to call it .”
though none of the above were true. not really. he had not been the one who turned her. all elarion had done, was to mess with her head to the point where her actual creator feared her enough +
⠀
" tch, what are you, her dad 𖤠 "
he'd ask with a cocky smirk, one hand raising to push the dark strands from his eyes.
" I'd show you, if I knew your true intentions with one of my vampires . . it isn't my fault she slipped through your fingers . . "
⠀
”tsssk. then you should have no trouble showing me where she is .” he pushed.
there was something about this vampire … he felt stronger, more powerful, than most. and elarion quickly pieced together that he must be the cause of cora’s voices deafening. +
⠀
" nothing has happened to her, nothing you need to concern yourself with anyway. she's fine, as are all those that join me. "
he'd say very matter of factly and confidently, nodding at him.
" but, your concern is noted. "
