Here are some common indicators that someone may be a victim of trafficking:

Human trafficking does not have to involve moving, traveling, or transporting someone across state or national borders. This is considered human smuggling. Human trafficking does not require victims to move at all, some are trafficked within their own hometowns.

Traffickers often target individuals who are already members of at-risk populations including homeless, runaway, or foster youth. 1 in 3 homeless youth in Arizona have reported experiencing sexual exploitation through a commercial sex trafficking situation.
