It’s very annoying that we realize children need a summer break and several vacations a year because they attend school, but we think it makes sense for adults to work 40 hours a week all year and probably get 2–3 weeks off in a whole year if you’re lucky.
Do not blame Balogun for this outcome.
He did not complain about the red card.
He shook the ref's hand.
He said that he wanted to be a good role model for kids.
Most other players whine on every single foul called.
Balogun showed class and I am a lifetime fan.
I honestly can’t be the only one who sees how abnormal it is that we work 5-10 hours, commute, come home, and only get a few hours to ourselves, and that includes cooking, showering, and getting ready for the next day? This isn’t how to live life.
One of the hardest pills to swallow as an adult is clocking into a job where the staff sucks, the environment is toxic, and you can’t just walk away… because bills don’t stop. It’s a different kind of stress when you’re trapped between your peace and your paycheck.
