i was 12 when i saw 13 the musical on broadway and something i really appreciated about it, was that it felt like they were really talking about things my friends and i were talking about. references to budding sexuality, that was funny and uncomfortable, but really genuine to me

The story is literally about wanting to grow up quickly and realizing you can still take time to be a kid. Your demographic was teens, not 8 or 9 year olds. Good job with inclusivity and casting-- but come on... Not good enough. Stop treating 13 year olds like toddlers. 2/2
