so much of adulthood is just grieving in secret. grieving ex lovers, grieving dead friendships, grieving your parents sinking into old age, grieving the person you thought you'd grow into. grieving cities you never got to live in. grieving parts of you that couldn't survive.
@wootiex I’m in the same exact situation and it’s funny because my son’s name is also Leo. This is word for word a text I would expect from my son’s “father” your child is way better off without that man if he’s proved time and time again he’s has no care for his child
@wootiex The comments on this are blowing my mind. Someone said “it’s better late than never” is CRAZY when it comes to your own child. If you didn’t want anything to do with them their first 4 years of life than you don’t deserve any part of them
Your entire life will change once you stop pouring into cups that don't pour into yours. Family, friends, colleagues, and acquaintances included. It may sound harsh but you deserve to be treated as good as you treat others. You deserve people who show up for you. You are worthy.
