Many have noted that Labour are cutting VAT on theme parks while imposing VAT on independent school fees.
Here is the fundamental reason why Labour's position is unjustifiable, to put it mildly. ๐งต
In Germany, if you send your children to private school, you can claim 30% of the tuition fees, capped at โฌ5,000 per annum, per child as a tax deduction. Meanwhile Britain has become a country which punishes people for going private

Belgium ๐ง๐ช storm to gold in the mixed 4x400m at the #WorldIndoorChamps with 3:15.60 after a chaotic final that saw a crash in the first changeover ๐ฅต

๐ ๐ฉท ๐ฅ๐๐๐ข๐๐๐๐๐ฌ ๐ ๐ฉท For all Wicked Fans - it is going to be a big weekend!โจ
With ๐๐๐๐ ๐๐: ๐๐ค๐ง ๐๐ค๐ค๏ฟฝ๏ฟฝ๏ฟฝ landing in cinemas on 21 November, it feels like the right time to celebrate one of the quiet stars of the Wicked universe: its made-up language.
From ๐ฏ๐ฟ๐ฎ๐๐ฒ๐ฟ๐ถ๐๐บ to ๐๐ฐ๐ฎ๐ป๐ฑ๐ฎ๐น๐ฎ๐ฐ๐ถ๐ผ๐๐, Ozian words look playful, but they are carefully engineered. The writers build them by stretching familiar English roots and endings so they sit on the edge of nonsense while still being instantly understandable.
Everyday language works in much the same way. New blends appear (โparasocialโ is a trending word of 2025), older words quietly change meaning (did you know that โawfulโ used to literally mean โfull of aweโ, as in something amazing), and different groups develop their own small dialects. Language is as fluid and changing as the people who use it.
So to celebrate the release of Part Two, we picked five of our favourite Ozian words and unpacked what they tell us about how flexible language really is.

This week Iโve been struck by how emotional these World Championships feel for so many of our Japanese colleagues.
Standing in this magnificent stadium before tonightโs session, I canโt help but remember the Tokyo Olympics and Paralympicsโwhen fans werenโt allowed inside.
And it makes these championships special to so many to finally see it fully packed for this huge event.
