@vj5c07@DCDPR We truly need to create events for all types of transportation options, and I don’t see this one preventing bikers and pedestrians from safely joining.
@vj5c07@DCDPR maaaaye threw their back out this week (ahem…me), this was a nice way to fill what have would been an empty part of the park on a dark night. I would say 30 cars, about 100 folks all told. Lots of families. Seems worth it to me.
@FoShizGriz@IRGrubsy@Amtrak I’m sorry. That wasn’t clear when I first posted based on the announcements. I should have realized that. That was insensitive of me.
@deliangoncalves@wusa9 Oh Delia! What a loss for our local TV coverage. You have been an amazing journalist on the issues that matter to DC families and your investigative nature sets a high bar!!! Best of luck!
@vj5c07@DCDPR Line was longer when I saw at 12:30 but gone by 2 when we went. It didn’t seem to be a 1 in 1 out situation. Everyone waiting in shade of bldg. I would not say metal detector as that makes it sound like TSA. Minor bag search with a wand. Fun fact: Fox5 was there so turn on the TV
One of many phenomenal news articles coming out about this lawsuit. After losing too many local reporters lately, I'm thankful for reporters like @laurenmlumpkin who made sure to highlight this issue impacting DC children w/ disabilities & their families! #ShareYourBusStory
Thank you #PBI2024 for a great session yesterday! Loved joining with Elaine de Leon Ahn from @tahirihjustice and Michael Lucas from @supportAVLF to talk about communications and ethical storytelling with #probono leaders from across the US!
@mhbaskin What a perfect list. Appreciate the Black Cat honorable mention. That’s my go-to dance spot! Thank you thank you thank you for being so good in your reporting on housing issues - and the work we do at @DCChildrensLaw . You will be missed!!!
@mhbaskin@amanduhgomez Loved working with @yesl_kim on this piece recently! We love our local WAMU reporters! DC is a better city because of your thorough reporting.

Joining our local, metro reporters on the picket lines in support -- as a comms director that relies on their reporting and as a resident & subscriber that relies on their local coverage. DC cannot afford losing smart, committed, local journalists. If you can't join - sign on.
Today I'm joining hundreds of my colleagues in walking out because I care deeply about the mission of local news & can't stand by as The Post plans deep cuts to the Metro staff, and newsroom wide. Our letter to readers: https://t.co/Y4wggBuDgS
@VJKapur@ANCCostello You captured it all. Our hearts are with all the families grieving tonight. And to our DD staff who are going to replay this nightmare for years.
@maustermuhle@wamu885@DCist And here I thought I was ready for any news that twitter threw my way. What an exciting transition back home for you, but yes - a huge loss for in-depth DC news coverage! (And always fun running into you in neighborhood!)
This is not a surprise-the eviction moratorium ended & ppl were forced out. It’s going to get worse bc cuts in ERAP & funding for lawyers to defend eviction & benefits cases & victim services & no new vouchers. The Mayor’s budget is the perfect storm to increase homelessness.
As I stroll on TikTok, I keep seeing parents video their children reacting to The Little Mermaid trailer. So instead of focusing so much on the negative, I thought I’d show a thread of the little black kids who are excited to see their favorite princess look like them.
