@laurenrocco Please do this for the 2023 4th Math STAAR. I am a former 3rd & 4th STEM teacher. I taught at a Charter & AISD for 11 yrs. My 10yr old son got in the car after his Math STAAR and said this, “there was a lot of geometry on it Mommy!” My jaw hit the ground.

@laurenrocco The state knows teachers don’t cover geometry/measurement until the very last weeks before the test. We are always making sure we allow substantial time to review Number & Operations too. My son’s teacher said to me…

@laurenrocco Why? The test blueprint the state puts out every year weighs Number & Operations really high it’s almost half of the questions. Geometry/Measurement was like 4 questions. But this year they flip the script and the test covers a lot of Geometry? I immediately knew it was a rat.
