The Franklin area is an example of low-density housing because suburban areas have more land between houses. This takes up land that could have been preserved as habitat for wildlife and is why high-density housing is better for the environment. @franklinlorax #apesland

We live in a temperate seasonal forest meaning the temperature fluctuates with the seasons. For example here in fall it was the start of cooler temperatures as leaves fell off the trees in contrast to summer where it is much cooler. @franklinlorax #apesecology

This is Maisy, she a K-strategist as dogs have fewer offspring and are cared for attentively giving them a better chance of living longer. This is why we couldn’t get her until she was 8 weeks old, she still needed her mothers care. #franklinapes #apesecology

Whenever I brush my teeth I always make sure to shut the water off while I brush them instead of keeping the water on the whole time. This is one simple way to conserve the freshwater supply and is something that anyone can do! @franklinlorax #apeswater
