@EemerEivers @HMcEntee 2022 my own child missed more than 20 days, because i followed health advice and kept him off school when he had a cough, tested for covid etc. Ridiculous to use data from when we were just out of lockdown as the norm. 🤷🏼‍♀️

Can students carry out an experiment unaided, take research notes etc. Sciences are practical subjects and should be examined as such. Or is it really all about the €

@ciaraquill I'm glad to see the change, and hopefully will motivate students to try a bit harder now a higher merit or distinction is closer in reach.

@ciaraquill It's a total row back by Dept. The "new" grades have brought distinction back to "A" grades, higher merit back to "B" etc. Could have just done that when originally switched to bands, but in the name of reform they changed it, regardless of whether the change was for the better.

When we aren't sure how, exactly, they'll be examined?
LC isn't the JC, the repercussions are far more significant.
