@joe_yer99 My ma and da holidayed on Hvar in 1990 - it was their favourite holiday. I'll be honouring their memory supporting Croatia. Its what they would have wanted.
@robbohuyton Great piece mate. Exactly how this season felt - our best is always greater than the sum of our playing parts......this season was way less.
When Andy Robertson danced with Liverpool academy players after winning the Premier League โค๏ธ
There can be few $11M signings who turned out better than Robertson did for Liverpool. After nine years and eight major trophies, he'll leave a legend ๐ซก
Florian Wirtz has told people close to him that, contrary to what is often portrayed in the media, Mohamed Salah was one of the players who made his arrival at Liverpool and integration into the dressing room the easiest.
The two held multiple conversations, and Florian was left deeply impressed by Salahโs discipline and relentless work ethic, always the first to arrive at training and the last to leave, a level of professionalism he now wants to model himself on.
He finds it genuinely disappointing how the situation has developed, believing they would have complemented each other perfectly on the pitch, especially with his vision in the final third and the chances he creates. It needs to be said that Salah was one of the players he was most excited to play alongside before his move, even setting himself the goal of providing him with numerous assists.
For that reason, Salahโs departure is something Florian truly regrets.
๐ด๓ ง๓ ข๓ ณ๓ ฃ๓ ด๓ ฟ Built on Effort, Remembered in Glory, The Andy Robertson Story
I remember the first time I saw Andy Robertson in the flesh, a cold afternoon in Kirkcaldy as Raith Rovers hosted Dundee United back in 2014. Even then, before the medals and the grand stages, there was something unmistakable about him. He moved with a purpose others could not match, played with a conviction that set him apart. He looked levels above, and you left the ground, certain you had seen a player bound for bigger things.
What followed at Liverpool FC was the fulfilment of that early promise, and more besides. Signed without fanfare, he rose to become arguably the finest left-back the club has known, a claim that stands comfortably alongside the great names of the past. In an era that demanded more from the position, he reshaped it with relentless energy and rare quality, turning defence into attack with a swing of his left foot and an unending appetite for the next run.
There was steel in his tackling, craft in his delivery, and a spirit that burned through the side at its peak. Titles followed, all of them, and through it all, he remained a constant, trusted, tireless, utterly committed. He didn't simply play his part; he drove it, setting a standard that others were compelled to follow.
Yet beyond Liverpool, there remains something more enduring, at least for me. As captain of Scotland, his story will continue this summer on the grandest stage of all, untouched by his departure from Anfield at the end of the season. He carries with him the qualities that first caught the eye: hard work, resilience, and a sense of duty to the shirt.
In an age often drawn to polish and clicks, he has offered something simpler and rarer. A footballer shaped by effort as much as talent, a competitor of fierce pride, and a man who never forgot where he came from.
It has been a privilege, Andy, an absolute privilege.
@Jassisidhu Imagine saying that about a guy thats given heart and soul to the club for 9 years. He really doesnt get the club and the need for connection to fans.
Robbo did get it. From day 1.
Repost this till you fingers fall off.
What Keir Starmer is saying is he ''will not allow'' Scotland to have an avenue to self determination.
Take that in (will not allow) Scotland her democratic & international rights.
@ScottishLabour Your Labour government took the winter fuel payment away from pensioners and only started paying again to fewer pensioners after the backlash. The lying brass neck of this Labour party is astonishing. Vote wisely Scotland.๐ด๓ ง๓ ข๓ ณ๓ ฃ๓ ด๓ ฟ
@Mobyhaque1 I think Hugo is jaded - he never looked in control of the situation and has been struggling.
Hardly surprising given the increase in intensity this season for him. He's been brilliant.
