Things underwriters actually look at when your IBO LLC applies for a MID.
Most people think it's just the business type and the processing history.
It's not.
- IBO nationality and associated risk profile
- Address type (shared virtual vs private — they know the difference)
- Company age and filing history
- Bank account history and average balance
- Whether the listed contact number is a VoIP or a real number
- Document consistency across all submitted files
A $500 IBO setup fails on at least 3 of these by default.
The application tells a story. Make sure it's the right one.
Had a guy come to us after two failed IBO setups.
First one: provider took payment, delivered documents 6 weeks late, IBO was from a country that banks flag immediately. Got declined everywhere.
Second one: documents came fast. But the IBO wasn't available for live verification. One bank required a call. That was the end of that setup.
Third time he came to us.
We set him up with a Wyoming LLC, private address, clean IBO, Mercury open within the first two weeks.
He ran his first successful MID application within a month of starting.
Some things are worth not cutting corners on.
Here's how a bad IBO setup compounds into a real problem.
You get a cheap setup. Shared address, tier 3 IBO, no full document access.
You apply to a few MIDs. Get declined more than expected but push through.
One processor approves you. You run volume.
Six months later they want updated bank statements.
You go back to your provider. No response.
You go to the IBO directly. You don't have their contact.
Processing stops. Funds on hold pending compliance review.
And now you're applying for a new setup under a structure that already has processing history attached to it.
The cheap setup didn't cost you what you paid for it.
It cost you everything you built on top of it.
BE SMART
Getting a bad IBO setup can cost you more than you think.
-Declined MIDs because of a shared address
-Declined bank accounts because of tier 3 nationality
-Can't apply to new processors on your own (no documents)
-Provider ghosts you when you need a live verification
-IBO has a dirty record — you find out at underwriting
-Shared platform access — your funds, someone else's hands
Most people only count what they paid for the service.
They don't count what they lost because it didn't work.
Be smart
Everyday I hear so many horror stories.
People getting locked out of internet banking.
No access to documents.
Rev share fee.
Be the only one to control your assets. Don't depend on anyone else.
Don't get scammed.
People think getting IBOs is overkill. And that it's only for BH.
It's not.
You HAVE TO diversify.
Different companies, different owners, different MIDS, different bank accounts.
Whether your doing BH, GH or WH.
DIFFERENTIATE.
