@AdeJesuRe But you canโt finish my statement without mentioning igbos in your post? ๐คฃ some of you have really lost touch with reality. Whatever is in the public space, is there for the consumption of the public. So, you canโt decide who react, contribute or ignore.
@tokunbo_wahab@alexottiofr@CCSoludo This is not the opinion of all igbos, rather for some who wants to appear good to their base, why not? election is coming. Where were this people when Soludo, Otti, and Uzodimma removed contravening structures, even without compensation to our people in the east? Nonsense
@tokunbo_wahab@alexottiofr@CCSoludo Please don't get distracted by political sentiments. Every state govt removes illegal structures. My people need to desist from acting as victims in every action taken by Lagos. Some igbos at the trade fair openly accused other igbos who sold and built on waterways and parks.
@tokunbo_wahab Sir, please, carry on with the excellent work. I will persist in stating that until a person from a different tribe comes forward with authentic documentation showing that they structures were approved and demolished, whereupon we must separate emotions and tribal sentiments.
@Wale_A3@tokunbo_wahab In Lagos, cars w/o dents are rare due to shared roads w/ bus drivers who have nothing to lose. They force others off the rd, denting vehicles when refused. Govt should mandate all vehicles roadworthy by ensuring lights & side mirrors work. That'd reduce reckless driving.
@Wale_A3@tokunbo_wahab Lagos has everything it takes to be among the most beautiful cities in the world, but all it takes is political will and decisive decisions.
@Wale_A3@tokunbo_wahab The govt needs to take a decisive stand against street and roadside trading, especially those at every bus stops. There should be designated areas at every bus stop where people can go to purchase items before boarding, it must not be on the road. Same as the public transports.
@Wale_A3@tokunbo_wahab Clearly, these roadside, umbrella, and shanty traders are responsible for majority of the traffic in Lagos, and drainage blockade. Commuters pull up to patronize them not minding ongoing traffic, thereby causing slowing vehicular movement and dropping waste wherever possible.
@jason_seun@tokunbo_wahab@EuchariaAnunobi Clearly, Govt lacks commitment to resolving the madness in Lagos. Wike's experience in governing Rivers state could provide valuable lessons on maintaining order. As long as street vendors and umbrella traders operate freely, the initiative to keep Lagos clean is wishful thinking
@DaveBlakScopion @jason_seun@tokunbo_wahab@EuchariaAnunobi Your lack of understanding regarding word meanings is concerning, especially when using them. How do you intend to deport a citizen of their own country?
@KofoworOlajide@tokunbo_wahab Every tribe is involved in drugs dealings and scamming. But fake products, which is very bad anyways, I would say youโre right about igbos
@tokunbo_wahab Therefore, I fear that correcting these problems will have far-reaching repercussions and provoke intense resistance. The government must either choose to tackle these issues comprehensively and endure the subsequent criticism or continue to indulge certain interests.
@tokunbo_wahab The special treatment accorded to some individuals, allowing them to act with disregard for others, has persisted for so long that they now regard it as an inherent right.
