The BBC Is Sanitizing the Slaughter of Christians in Nigeria
"The BBC went to Nigeria looking for ‘fake news’ and found mass graves, burned churches, murdered families and Christian survivors. Then the disgraceful propaganda outlet tried to explain those atrocities away.

Calling massacres "farmer-herder clashes" and Christian persecution "misinformation" isn’t journalism. It is sanitizing slaughter.

The BBC found the truth and chose to look away.

Our reporters live in these communities. They document the bodies, the burned churches and the survivors, while BBC journalists fly back to London and debate terminology.

Serious question: who’s the real crazy person? Somebody who thinks the Earth is flat, despite all the evidence, science and study proving otherwise, or a gender ideologue who says a man becomes a woman simply by declaring it?

To me, there’s absolutely no difference.

And yet progressive liberals will obviously scoff at flat-earthers, as will I. But the selfsame progressive liberals will cheer from the rafters any man who claims to be a woman, and campaign for him to be able to adopt the hard-won sex-based rights of biological women.

A Burnham claimed yesterday that the 2016 vote for Brexit ushered in a decade of low growth.
He’s right that there’s been low growth, though not just in Britain, which suggests Brexit is not quite the explanation he thinks it is.
I think Brexiteers hard pressed to show that Brexit has been good for growth.
But Remainers lack evidence it has crippled or undermined growth.
In the decade from mid-2016 til mid-2026, the UK had the 3rd biggest growth in real GDP (13%) of the G7. Well behind the US (27%) and Canada (20%) but ahead of France (12%), Italy 10%, Germany 8%, and Japan (6%).
I think we can all agree Japan made a big mistake leaving the EU.

I'm not being flippant here, but if Stoke-on-Trent really was (as some claim) a roaring multicultural success, then why is attendance at annual Remembrance Sunday events in the city drawn almost exclusively from one demographic? (All photos below from recent years.)
Wouldn't all sections of the community wish to commemorate those who died fighting fascism?
If the city were genuinely a model of integration, with all cultures routinely mixing freely and happily, surely a major annual civic event such as this would be a microcosm of the wider community, right?
So why isn't it?
Could it possibly be that the picture isn't quite as rosy as is being asserted?
Or perhaps its promoters believe that the "success" of multiculturalism is measured not by things like common social norms and traditions, and a shared national story and inheritance, but simply by how many different cuisines are served up on the high street or the friendliness of the Eastern European chaps who wash their car.
Which, to my mind, is a pretty shallow way of looking at things.

You just can’t help distorting the facts, can you?
That 94.1% is a single month snapshot. Let’s look at national debt to GDP by financial year (FY) for a more accurate picture.
During FY 2024/25, in which you came to power, debt (PSND) to GDP was 93.5%.
Then Rachel R went on her borrowing binge. It was 94.3% in 25/26. And OBR forecasts 94.8% in 26/27 (current FY).
OBR forecasts another rise to 95.7% in 27/28, up again in 28/29 to 96.3%, which is meant to be its peak.
Then it’s meant to slip back to 96.1% 2029/30 — but that depends on a public sector spending squeeze that’s very unlikely to happen. We’ll see.
Anyway stop saying debt to GDP is coming down. It’s not and you know it. It will rise under every year of Labour government until at least 2029/30.

Around 560 arrests at this year’s Notting Hill carnival. Weapons seized, sex crimes recorded, two knife attacks, widespread illegal drug possession, and a police chase which ended with a man dying in a canal.

Yet the Metropolitan Police said in a statement that the carnival passed “largely without incident” and described the atmosphere as “overwhelmingly positive and celebratory".

Pyongyang levels of propaganda going on here. If this had been any other event - say a football match or patriotic rally or anti-war demo - we wouldn’t have heard the last of it. The establishment would have denounced such a crime-fest full-throatedly and demanded sanctions against the organisers.

Switzerland rejected the European Union 🇪🇺 — and now it's facing terrible consequences!!

No euro. No European Parliament. No Green Deal. It doesn't even know the pleasure of waiting for Brussels to explain to it what laws it should pass in its own country. Worse still, the Swiss have been deprived of a fundamental European privilege: the opportunity to be outvoted by countries whose combined population fits into a larger European metropolis.

The results of this catastrophic isolation are visible to the naked eye: its own currency, its own migration policy, efficient railways, very low unemployment, a gigantic export sector, and one of the highest standards of living in the world. Tragedy. Without MEPs, the Swiss can't even send a few dozen politicians to Strasbourg to transport democracy there from Brussels once a month.

They also lack access to all that European regulatory wisdom. Instead of implementing every political fad of twenty-seven countries, they have the audacity to hold their own referendums and decide for themselves what suits them. Apparently, no one told them that in the 21st century, sovereignty is backward—unless you use it according to instructions.

This is exactly how rejecting the European project ends: with wealth, stability, its own currency, and the irritating ability to make decisions independently.

The Swiss really should rethink their mistakes.

OK, here's a question. Imagine police made 169 arrests - for offences such as possession of weapons and physical and sexual assault - at a "Unite the Kingdom" rally. What are the chances that Sky News (or any mainstream media outlet) would run the headline: "Unite the Kingdom rally 'overwhelmingly positive' despite 169 arrests"?

The silent majority has one fairly obvious weakness: it’s silent.

If you think your school, university, council, employer or broadcaster is promoting ideology rather than serving everyone, make your case.

No abuse. No name-calling.

As I was waiting for the train to go to Manchester Pride I got talking to an a woman who was also going. She’s influencer doing a thing for HBO and will be on one of the floats. All paid for. She’s married to a man.

We got on well, I gently introduced JK a Rowling into the convo and how I thought her and Dolly would’ve been able to have a real good convo and how they would have a lot of respect for each other

She was a bit surprise when I said I was very much on JKR’s side when it comes to sex V gender, but she was happy to keep asking

We boarded the train together, but she was travelling first class. I helped her zip up her dress which was very tricky and sounded like a skit as we both went “Yes! Yes!” when I finally got it all the way up (no pun intended!!! 😆)

Then we said our goodbyes and I found a seat in second class

And it struck me how a straight woman backed by a huge brand will be dancing on a float at Pride, while I’m a gay man who feels nervous about showing my face because I won’t sell out homosexuality
