I've been looking at my stats today and I have an 83% survival/success rate with rehabilitating hedgehogs under 3 weeks old. (Still counting the ones that died within a few hours of admission)
So before you comment, yes, I get that I am a micro-rehabilitator and can therefore devote more time to their care, and that with 200+ admissions, the % would definitely be lower, but I'm sure my success is because I have great vet support and an excellent private support network of 13 #hedgehog rescues across the country.
I formed our group with a friend from another rescue in 2020.
We share information and advice with each other. We support each other ❤️
There is always someone at the other end of a phone to talk to, whatever time of day or night it is.
Sharing information is key to saving our beautiful #hedgehogs and ensures their best care 🥰 🦔
Collaboration between hedgehog rescues needs to be encouraged 🙏
No rescue should think that they are the only expert in hedgehog care.

Badgers are mustelids. They are in the same animal group as stoats and weasels and as such will readily and regularly hunt hedgehogs. 'Hedgehog Cabin', Pauly Anderson, is emphatically neither an animal biology nor ecology expert as shown clearly by her tweets above-instead she is a relentlessly arrogant individual who relishes shouting others down & trolling them online, just like she has here, and purporting to know more than eg. animal biologists and the Woodland Trust about this food chain (she *really* doesn't). Hedgehog habitat has been decimated by humans but that is not the only threat to their numbers and she is obsessively focussed on only a very narrow aspect of hedghehogs' lives.
I condone no animals being hunted, ever.
Meanwhile you 'Dorset onion' are either Pauly Anderson behind one of her multiple troll ring accounts (likely), else a deeply and relentlessly obsessive sycophant of Pauly's who jumps in like this every time she is questioned.Both these account display extremely weird, sinister and unsettling behaviour.

We have felt so privileged this year to have multiple regular #hedgehog visitors - 7 at one point! They seemed to like eating on patio & even learned to share nicely (although Wolfie did sit in the plate a lot!) Huge thanks to @FunnybunnyQ for getting Púca & Puck well & home 😊

@hollybright2024 @FunnybunnyQ @RSPCA @NewtonsCats the rspca's own website quite literally says one report is enough. one troll reported, the rspca sent someone to have a look, and that person confirmed all was well, which is why nothing else has happened. fabricating lies like this is an unwise move, it could constitute libel.
