A wonderful livestreamed workshop this morning for 5 schools in Preston, Blackburn, Darwen & Bolton. Children explored journeys, community, belonging & friendship, with the fantastic @JosephACoelho & marvellous Viviane Schwarz. A partnership with the brilliant @Linking_Network
Miss Bear has been very impressed with how the children have immersed themselves into writing day. They have created some amazing concertina books about themselves. It was a joy to see how much they enjoyed writing and reading them was even better. #flomellywriting@BL_Learning
Year 4 have made a library of books as part of a Briiish Library project @BL_Learning Each child was given a crew member from Shackleton’s Endurance and they’ve written in role. They made endpapers by marbling and created a compass seal to decorate.
We're stunned by the books Year 4 students @school_georges have created for our summer campaign. Written from the POV of crew members from Shackleton’s Endurance, the volumes include diary entries, illustration, telegrams, marbled endpapers & 'leather' binding

@whatSFSaid@Booktrust My autistic boy adored all @AndyStanton15's Mr Gum books, mainly because the ingenious, hilarious humour made him CACKLE - and that kind of laughter is pure pleasure - but also because the writing is accessible and elegant and absorbing.
Thrilled that hundreds of schools could join us to create handmade library books with Axel Scheffler and Jasbinder Bilan! 🐌🦁
