Our prayers are with the Rizal citizens affected by today's flooding. All the more, we must come together to oppose quarrying and land conversion in the Masungi landscape and the Upper Marikina Watershed. In September 2022, after two years of campaigns by civil society groups, the quarrying agreements of Rapid City, Quarry Rock and Quimson Limestone totaling some 1,300 hectares of protected areas were "ordered canceled" by the @DENROfficial. Subsequent follow ups on the status of cancellation by the Upper Marikina Watershed Coalition (UMWC) were left unanswered.
Shortly after, the organized disinformation and moves to cancel the Masungi Geopark Project escalated through the help of several local congressmen. We fear that these interests continue to harbor hope that they can destroy our watershed. But people are beginning to see the severe impacts of wrong land use, and they won't take this sitting down.
Let's continue raising our voices for positive change, resist repression, and solidify the voices of the people in the decisions affecting our shared future! #SaveMasungi #PunlangPagasa #Halalan2024
Executions and Mass Graves in Tantura
A Documentary by Forensic Architecture commissioned by Adalah Legal Center for Arab Minority Rights in Israel, this investigation reveals new evidence about massacres conducted in the Palestinian village of Tantura by Israeli forces after its occupation on 22-23 May 1948 and subsequent depopulation. Launched on the 75th anniversary of the Nakba, it brings together testimonies and photographic evidence to locate several mass graves in which the victims were buried—including one previously unidentified.

"The item already existed in 2022, but the amount was zero."
Rep. Stella Quimbo justified the transfer of P125 million in CIF to OVP in 2022 by saying that the item was already mentioned in the crafted budget and that any gov't agency is allowed to do inter-agency transfers.
